Adjustable handgrips are positioned on a center to side angle and provide a natural hand position. |
| The completely adjustable safety harness (weight capacity 350 lbs.) prevents clients from falling should they suffer momentary weakness or unsteadiness. |
| Spring loaded index pins allow secure and easy height adjustment (from 35 inches to 47 inches) by one person. |
| Unique rear casters are manufactured in a fixed, straight position which resists the tendency of a walker to move sideways when a client leans heavily to the side. The client can still move freely in any direction with confidence. The foot brake is positioned for quick access. |

| The refined frame design of BXL's Steadymate™ Walker can fully support a user's body weight, which protects semi-ambulatory clients from tipping over allowing them to relax and focus on their walking posture. The therapist can also be as close the walker as necessary because our frame does not flare at the base or have any handles or knobs protruding to the outside. The inside frame base measures 23 inches wide and 25 inches long to accommodate good leg movement. | Features: |
The Steadymate™ Walker is fully covered with a three year warranty under normal institutional use. |

From : Peace Health Region, Physiotherapist
The Peace Health Region's physiotherapy department has purchased a total of 3 Steadymate™ Walkers. In acute Care, we find them very useful for early ambulation following hip fractures and for conditions such as weakness/ataxia due to head injury or cancer. The patients are able to walk more comfortably; they require less help from our staff. I feel using the Steadymate™ Walker decreases potential injury to both the patients and care givers.
In longterm care the Steadymate™ Walker is used for any patient(s) requiring a lot of support to walk. In some cases the Steadymate™ Walker enables us to help a patient to walk who would otherwise be too heavy to be safely assisted to walk.
I highly recommend these walkers for institutional use.
